Lush!

I sort of made a cheeky Lush order so I thought show you what I got...!

First I got the Skydancer bath bomb! I'm pretty sure this is limited edition, so if you want one, get it quick!

Next I got, D'fluff strawberry shaving soap. It smells kind of like strawberries, but not what I expected, saying that, it still smells nice!

Finally I got two shower gels! Happy Hippy and Beautiful! They both smell amazing and I reccomend both of them if you like grapefruit!

Bomb Cosmetics!

I was so lucky to receive a lovely goodie bag from Bomb Cosmetics. The products are so beautiful and I am exited to use them all.
Bomb cosmetics is a brand I have mentioned before, alike brands like Lush, they sell products including things like bath bombs and shower gels.
The incredibly generous goodie bag includes a body wash, a body lotion, a soap and a gift set!

This is an overview of everything in the goodie bag!

This soap honestly smells amazing! It's my favouite scent ever!

I received the Pretty in Pink gift box, it has so many beautiful goodies inside and I would totally give this to any girl who loves a good pamper session!

The box comes with a sticker on the bottom of the box telling you the ingredients that are in each product. This is good if you have any allergies!

This is a picture of everything that's inside the box! (Sorry about the poor quality of the photos, the lighting wasn't great but I was too excited to wait until morning to write this!)
Top Middle - Strawberry and Dreams Mini Muffin - this smells heavenly! If you like sweet strawberry scents, you will love this!
Top left - The High Life bath blaster - This smells of champagne, strawberries and ylang ylang! If you like a good pamper and sweet smells this would be perfect for you!
Top right - Flowers bath blaster - this smells of violets and vanilla! It smells heavenly!
Bottom Left - Crazy Cupid Soap - It has the relaxing scents of lavender and chamomile so it's perfect for a pamper session or just to relax!
Bottom Right - Fields of Joy bath mallow - If your not into the super sweet scents then your in luck, although this still smells slightly sweet, it also smells really fresh, with tones of mandarin and ginger it's perfect to relax!

That was everything in my goodie bag! Thank you Bomb Cosmetics for this lovely gift and I can't wait to use it all!

Thank you for reading (Reveiws to come!)

Summer Essentials Part 2

If you haven't seen my last post check that one out now to see my Summer essentials Skincare edition.

In the summer I like to have a lighter makeup look, especially when I go places like the beach. Here are a few of my must have products for summer:

1- A dewy (did I spell that right? Probably not!) foundation is a must have for me as in the summer it makes your skin look so healthy. I recommend the Rimmel Wake me up foundation as it really gives you a radiant finish. A dewy foundation is perfect to achieve the 'no makeup' makeup look.

2. A lip stain is perfect for the summer as you can put it on and not have to keep reapplying it. I reccomend the Revlon moisture stain as it isn't drying.

3. A bright lipstick is a must have for summer. I reccomend the Revlon hd lipsticks as they have really good colour.

Summer Essentials!

Summers on its way! These are a few of my skincare essentials to get me through the summer!

1. I am really loving the Garnier Micellar cleansing water at the moment, it's so good for removing makeup and cleansing in one simple step!
2. A good spot treatment is a must have for me, especially in the summer because if you want to have on lighter makeup then you don't want those pesky spots getting in the way!
3. Moisturiser, a good mousturiser is an essential for summer. Mine has Aloe Vera in it which is great for summer, especially if you have been in the sun!

Migraine Update!

Migraine Update!

I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while, I promise it won't happen again!

Anyway on a slightly more positive note, I think my migraine story may finally be drawing to a close! In the past I have always had at least one a month but it has been way over a month since my last one (45 days to be exact!).
Also I'm now off the horrible medicine called Pizotifen which I talked about before. I had a specialist hospital appointment about my migraines and now instead of a medicine to prevent my migraines, I have a medicene that is a pain relief and it will help me sleep off my migraine.
I looked online at the most common symptoms for teenage migraines and I found low blood sugar and anxiety were very common, I suffer from both of these, especially in the mornings before school. So I have been making some small changes to my mornings, firstly I have been making sure I stay calm then I'm making sure I have a good breakfast.

I hope somebody will benefit from reading this.

REVIEW - Bomb Cosmetics: Chill Pills!

REVEIW - Bomb Cosmetics: Chill Pills!

Although I always go on about Lush i absolutely love Bomb Cosmetics! I love patrolling (is that a good word... I don't know?!?!) the Bomb Cosmetics website, I find so much pleasure in looking at the products and creating a brain document ( like a notepad in your brain) of all the things I want to buy the next time I go shopping.

There is such a wide range of different products at bomb but unfortunately the last shopping trip that I went to Bomb everything was almost all sold out. Luckily I grabbed a Lemon Meringue soap ( it smells amazing and even my dad loves it!) and a little product named Chill pills. This product is not new to me, I have used it many times before, it's basically a small bath bomb that you put in a cup or bowl of hot water, and it makes you relax.

Being a fairly anxious person myself, I find these a necessity to have in the house, even though it sound kind of gimmicky it REALLY DOES WORK! I would never reccomend something if I didn't think it worth buying, but if you only want one thing from Bomb Cosmetics, try these (or the candles because they are awesome... BUT TRY THE CHILL PILLS!!!). At only 25p a piece they won't set you back much and could potentially save you from a very anxious evening.

As you can see, I have two left and I am saving them until I really need them, but next time I go shopping I will be sure to buy loads more!

Shopping Addiction?!?!

Shopping Addiction?!?!

I think I have a shopping addiction... Actually I know I have a shopping addiction!

How can I tell?

- I mainly think about shopping (although this is often depressing because I never have any money)
- If I can't physically go shopping I online shop...almost every day...
- Shopping makes me so happy!

If you share any of these symptoms please let me know and we can get through it together!

Okay so this was a bit of a joke (although kind of true!) I was just in a really weird mood!

My Spring Skin Care Routine!

My Spring Skincare Routine!

My skin care routine varies each season because my skin adapts differently with the weather, but this is what I have been loving lately!!

P.s. I was feeling really artsy and spring like when I took the photos!

1. I use my Nivea Rich Nourishing moisturiser for dry skin!
I love this product because it is so rich and moisturising!

2. Then I use the Clean&Clear deep cleansing lotion for sensitive skin!
I love this product because you don't need to rinse it off! It's so quick and easy to use!

3. Next I use the Lush Tea Tree Toner toner water and then the Lush Grease Lightning spot treatment!
I love this toner because you can spray it straight onto your face so it's super fast and I love the spot treatment because it really works, it comes in a gel form so it's easy to use!

4. Then finally I use my light moisturising day cream!
I love it because it blends in really fast and it doesn't feel like there is anything on your face!

Migraine getting better? Maybe? Maybe not?

Migraines getting better? Maybe? Maybe not?

This time last week I thought my migraine story might be coming to an end, and maybe it is, but maybe it's not. Every day when I wake up (as soon as I have convinced myself that procrastinating is making life harder and that just getting up will probably be easier in the long run!) at some point I worry about migraines. I know that worrying about migraines will only make me have them more often and it will make them worse, but I just can't help it. Luckily I only have one or two a month, although that is quite a few, it's manageable. At the beginning of last week I was sent home from school feeling really ill and dizzy (usually how I feel after having a migraine which I had the week before), I had a doctors appointment booked for later that day so despite the dizziness, I was feeling optimistic in the hope I might be able to conquer (I don't know wether 'conquer' is the right word to use here, but I'll use it anyway) my migraines once and for all. I was wrong. The doctor put me on a tablet called Pizotifen and to take one every evening. At first I was almost excited to try this tablet but the next morning I was dreading taking the tablet in the first place. It was nothing drastic but I was so tired, drowsy and I really didn't feel like moving. Tiredness and drowsiness were side effects, there were a few others I was suffering too, but they weren't too bad. I tried not to let them get in the way of my life (I did nearly fall asleep a few times but generally it was controllable), I wanted to feel normal, but as I continued to take the tablet the side effects got worse and now I am suffering another side effect which is muscle and joint pain (Rare : occurs in less than 1-1000 patients. Yes I am the less than one) in my back. This is making running, walking and just generally moving (and standing still for that matter) incredibly painful. I am booking another doctors appointment for as soon as I can because as much as I don't want another migraine I am not sure being like this is how I want to be either.

                                                             No more migraines?

Maybe?
I think maybe not.

5 things that make me happy!

5 things that make me happy!

(In no particular order!)

1. Lush!

Walking into a Lush store is one of the best feelings ever! There are so many pretty colours and smells (I promise you I am not a five year old!), there are so many things to look at and I could easily spend hours in there at a time (call me crazy!).

2. Candles!

There is something just so warming about lighting a candle (probably the burning fire) and looking at the flickering flame. If you happen to have a scented candle, it's even more relaxing because you are surrounded by a lovely scent.

3. Being with friends!

When you are with friends it's so easy to be happy! Even if your having a horrible day you can easily turn that frown upside down.

4. Pamper session!

It's important to treat yourself to a pamper every now and then, wether it's just a simple face mask of a full on relax session, it's really important to let yourself rewind and just forget about everything that's going on.

5. Being with family!

Although sometimes the last thing in the world we want is to spend time with our family, but sometimes it's all we need. They bring us back to reality and they're the ones who know us the best.

More Migranes :(

More Migraines :(

Unfortunately I am getting more migraines, any of you who suffer from migraines will know that they are horrible.

😷

They make you feel really ill.

Lately the worst thing was I had a migraine when I was on holiday, migraines make me feel ill for a few days so it kind of put a damper on my holiday.

When I have migraines I feel like I'm going to be sick, I have a slight phobia of vomit so....you probably get where I'm coming from, but I know if I am sick it makes me feel better.

If you suffer from migraines please let me know and we can share tips on how to cope with them 😊

If you do suffer from migraines don't forget, they don't last forever and things get better.

Review - Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation!

Hi guys!

This post is going to be about a new foundation that I have been trying out for about a month or so, it is the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude fluid touch foundation.
I so far have used about half of the bottle and my shade is No.10 Ivory (I believe....I don't have the sticker anymore!) and I think that it is a really nice foundation if you don't want a lot of coverage and you only want a light makeup look, unfortunately as soon as I bought the foundation my skin decided to have a major breakout, but oh well, it happens. The foundation managed to cover most of my blemishes and control redness.
Unfortunately i have noticed a few things with the foundation that generally bug me. Firstly when you apply the foundation it feels really greasy, but applying in small amounts stopped this almost completely. I don't feel like you get a really nice finish if you use a brush so I recommend applying some to your fingers and holding all of your fingers together (both hands together) for about ten seconds, this will help the application.
Overall I think this is a really good foundation and if you want a good nude foundation defiantly try this one out.

The Script!

The Script!

Yesterday a very exiting thing happened... I went to The Script concert! I also experienced my first time ever standing at a concert, even though I had an awesome time I have now learnt that I feel quite claustrophobic and anxious in that situation. My advice is that if you are going to experience standing at a concert, go with someone you know won't try and force you to the front or make you do things you don't want to do. Make sure you aren't letting into peer pressure and don't do anything you aren't comfortable doing.

Now for...

The most exciting thing ever!

While at the concert right before The Script went on stage, they split the crowd in two, right in frount of my mum and myself. We assumed that it was to stop the surge when The Script went on stage. We couldn't have been more wrong... Suddenly all the lights went off and we saw people walking down the path in frount of us holding neon green flags covered in green lights. Then we saw it, Danny was walking right in frount of us, doing that thing where they walk along doing a sweeping high five thing (I need explaining lessons), and he touched my hand!!! That's not even the best part! He made eye contact with me!!!

Thank you for reading my very long, (very true) fangirling tale!

COLAB Dry Shampoo - Review!

COLAB Dry Shampoo - Review!

(Sorry! Unfortunately I have no photo)

This dry shampoo was created by Ruth Crilly, otherwise known as 'A Model Recommends'. I am subscribed to Ruth's Youtube channel and I read her blog (I recommend you do the same!), so of course I was excited to try out this product, and as a lover of dry shampoo myself, I was intrigued to find out whether it was worth the buzz! Turns out, it was (or at least I think so). The invisible formula of the product works so well with my hair and, for me, it works as well or even better than some other leading dry shampoo brands. This is now my dry shampoo favourite and must have!

Tip of the day!

Tip of the day!

Research!

I know, I know. This sounds like the most boring thing in the world, but it could save you, and your purse! When that new mascara hits the shelves you may want to be the first to spend all your cash just to have it, but it may be better to wait... These days there are so many bloggers and youtubers that there will be reviews up very soon after the product hits the shelves, and you may find that the advert on TV was totally bonkers and this was pretty much just a novelty item. The applicator might mot be a very good shape, the colour might not be what it had said it was going to be, the formula might be too dry, it might be to wet. You just never know. My word is, research as much as you can because it might save you a lot of money.

Lush!

Lush!

I feel as though it's safe to say that Lush is a big part of my life. About 2-3 years ago I was given a Lush gift and ever since that, all I wanted to buy was Lush this, Lush that!
From the beginning of October till beginning of May- ish (or should I say Mae!....no, that would be weird)there is almost always a special collection including:

-Halloween
-Christmas
-Valentines Day
-Mothers Day
-Easter

Then there is a long period of time where there is just the regular Lush products (which is fine by me!). If I had to reccomend my top 3 lush products thet would be:

1. Twilight bath bomb
2. Creamy candy bubble bar
3. Candy mountain (christmas only) bubble bar

This was a bit of a 'just get to the point post' I think except there wasn't a real point to me making this post but I just really love Lush.

When you have a bad day...

When you have a bad day...

I think it's safe to say we all have bad days. Like me last Wednesday was my bad day, because

1. I had a migraine
2. We were robbed
3. I was sick

The point of me writing this is not to make you feel bad about your bad days, but to share my experience with you, so that you know that you are not the only one who has bad days.

Remember! Smile and the world smiles with you.

Thanks

January Favourites

January Faves!!!

I can't believe how quickly January has gone by! I know it's a little late but here is my January favourites!....

1. Revlon Colourstay ultimate suede lipstick in Socialite!
I love this lipstick because the colour is amazing (pastel pink) and it stays on your lips for hours. It is also a matte shade which is my favourite this month.
Two thumbs up from me!

2. Urban Decay Naked3 Pallette!
I love this Pallette because it has rose toned shades which is so me! Unfortunately this Pallette is not cheap but I managed to get one new for £15 which I think is a great deal! My favourite 3 shades in this Pallette are Nooner (I promise it is not because of the name!), Liar and Buzz. The only negative is that I think you really need to use the Urban Decay eye primer with it because it makes a big difference to the colour of the eyeshadow.

3. Benefit POREfessional!
I love this product because I think that it defiantly does what it promises and does a good job too. (I thought I had more to say about that but I don't!)

4. Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless!
I like this product because I think it really makes your lashes look longer, it doesn't add much volume but I personally have quite thick lashes so I wouldn't reccomend if you want a lot of volume, but if your looking for length, go for it!

5. COLAB dry shampoo in New York!
This is the orange bottle and it smells really fruity! I love this product. Thumbs up from me!

6. Zoella fizz bar!
This smells amazing! I love Lush and this is a bit more expensive than a Lush bath bomb but it looks like a cream coloured chocolate bar and you can break of blocks so you can use four or five times so you get more for your money!

7. Tanya Burr lipgloss in Aroura!
I love this product because it is such a pretty shimmery pink colour perfect for me because I love pink. It is quite a dark princess pink (my amazing description!).

I just wanted to point out that I have not added these into my favourites because they are youtubers products I genuinely think that they are really good!

8. Katy Perry Royal Revolution perfume!
I love all of the Katy Perry fragrences (literally all of them) and I also have Killer Queen but this smells amazing and it's fruity but I feel like there is a sweet vanilla scent in there too. My local Superdrug had the 100ml bottle in there for £20 instead of £40 so obviously I had to take the deal as the 30ml (actually it might have been 50ml, I can't remember) was £23.

9. Twitter!
Twitter is my favourite social media this month.
If you want to follow me, go to @AlwaysOlivia

10. YouTube
It's pretty self explanatory!!!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post, if you did follow me so you won't miss a post.
Thanks!

Being ill

Being ill

I don't know about anybody else but almost everyone at my school is ill at the moment. This is bad for everyone else because they have to be around these coughing, sneezing people until they also get ill but they usually get it 10 times worse. Today I was sent home from school with a migraine and when I got home I was also sick, but the way I felt with the migraine was that it was never going to stop and this was the second migraine I have had in 2 months so I remember all I was thinking was that even after I get through this one, I will probably get another one. This isn't why I wrote this post though, I wanted to share some of my tips for when you have a migraine in case any of you reading this are like me:

1. Sleep is key - It may not seem possible at the time but go into a dark room close your eyes and imagine that the pain isn't there by thinking of some of your happiest thoughts.

2. Know your symptoms - Sometimes it can take you a while to figure out what symptoms you get on the lead up to having a migraine, but luckily I knew mine after just one. If you are feeling like you might have a migraine coming then look out for some of these symptoms:

-Visual disturbance
- Dizzyness
- Neausea
- A headache (mine is always on just one side of my face)

3. Look for a pattern - After you have had a 2 or 3 migraines then try and remember what happened before you got it and see if the same thing happened before all of them. It may sound strange but also try and remember what food you ate because something you may have eaten could have triggered your migraine.

I hope that you found this helpful, even if it helped just one of you, then it was worth me writing. I promise a slightly cheerier subject next time!
